Aesthetics + Longevity Advisory Group was founded by two operators who came up on opposite sides of the same industry: one building and scaling a multi-site medical aesthetics group from the ground up, the other embedded inside a surgical practice's daily operations. Together they built a firm that trains, structures, and advises practices the way they wish someone had advised theirs.
We work with independent med spas, surgical practices adding aesthetics service lines, and multi-location groups preparing for their next stage, whether that's disciplined growth on the footprint they already have, or a future sale.

Anna Churchill-Karner
ACKAnna is a healthcare operating executive who builds medical aesthetics practices into market-leading platforms. Across 33 years in the field, she rose from professional aesthetician to founder of Synergy Face + Body, the Raleigh Triangle’s premier full-service spa, med spa, laser center, and plastic surgery destination, scaling it from a single location and 10 providers to six locations and 70+ providers and a Top 5 national Allergan account, structured early as a non-physician-owned practice under an MSO model.
In January 2021, Anna engineered the successful acquisition of Synergy by Aesthetic Partners, a private equity-backed platform. She went on to serve on its Board of Directors and as VP of Education & Training through 2025, building the AP Academy into a training function serving an 8-brand, 30+ location portfolio of 300+ team members across six states.
A sought-after consultant, KOL, and speaker, Anna has advised Allergan Aesthetics through its APP and AMI Advisory Boards, and has been honored with the Triangle Business Journal’s Women in Business Award and the United Arts Council’s Business Support of the Arts award.
Tica Lema Coan
TLCTica is a healthcare growth strategist who transforms high-end plastic surgery, medical aesthetics, and longevity practices into scalable, institutional-grade enterprises. Bringing 17 years of frontline experience scaling a physician-owned practice from inception to a multimillion-dollar market leader, she architects the operating infrastructure, revenue engines, and leadership frameworks required to compete in demanding specialty markets, including through major economic contractions.
Her core expertise spans practice architecture, go-to-market strategy, margin optimization, and managing the critical transition from founder-dependent practice to resilient enterprise. Having engineered resilience through major economic contractions, including launching during the Great Recession and navigating pandemic-era disruptions, she delivers bottom-line stability alongside top-line growth.
Prior to building her healthcare career, Tica served as Director of Development for the American Dance Festival at Duke University and worked as an on-air broadcast journalist with NBC in Raleigh. She holds a master’s degree from Boston College.
Together, Tica and Anna combine rigorous operational execution with high-level strategic positioning, giving healthcare entrepreneurs the dual-lens perspective required to design market-leading aesthetics and longevity enterprises and execute the playbook necessary to scale them.

Yes. Anna led Synergy's acquisition by Aesthetic Partners, a private equity-backed platform, in January 2021, then stayed on through 2025 as a board member and VP of Education & Training. That means we can advise from the seller's side and on integration afterward.
